Eating Before Bed Does Not Make You Fat.

"I'm not eating past 7 pm!" 


When I hear this, a few things come to mind.

First of all, why would you even want to do that?

Second, you may lose some weight in the beginning, but you're doing nothing for your long-term fat loss goals, and you're depriving your body of nutrients it needs in order to operate during the night.


Forget what you heard and/or read.

Eating before bed does not make you fat! 

Also, if you follow the food curfew diet approach, then you're thinking of weight loss the wrong way.

You need to be working WITH your body, not against it.


Allow me to explain: Your body is a machine that operates 24/7/365. That means that even at night while you sleep, it's hard at work circulating blood, assisting your lungs, and fueling your brain.

It may seem like denying yourself food past a certain time will put your body into fat-burning mode until breakfast.

However, fat-burning is a body process just like any other, and it requires fuel.




Without adequate nutrition, your body will end up burning muscle for fuel, and that will almost certainly not give you the figure of your dreams.

This doesn't mean you can gorge yourself with junk food before bed and lose weight, however.

Eating a box of Oreo's, a big bowl of rice, or a pint of ice cream is not the way to go. Skip the high-carb, low-nutrition foods and reach for something that serves as a good source of both protein and fat.


Why? You may ask.


Protein is absolutely essential if you want to ensure that your lean muscle is protected and you're only burning fat.

Healthy fats are the right choice because your body and brain demand more of it for fuel during the night.



 Opt for a small handful of nuts and a cup of cottage cheese, or a tablespoon of peanut butter and a protein shake.

Even steak would be a great choice!



Small changes to your evening nutrition like these will rev your metabolism, protect against muscle loss, and help your body burn more calories and more fat as you sleep!


Program your body to work for you LONG TERM, even while you rest!
